125 years of the German Civil Code

The motif of the special postage stamp “125 Jahre Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch” (125 years of the German Civil Code) shows a stylised illustration of a red book on a golden background, symbolising the “Civil Code”. The inscription “125 Jahre Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch” (125 years of the German Civil Code) is printed in large white letters across the entire cover. A ribbon in the colours of the German national flag adorns the lower spine and refers to the country in which this code is valid.

The design uses the special colour “Pantone 871 C” (gold). The typography is set in the fonts “ABC Social Condensed” and “ABC Social Mono”.
