Special postage stamps

Publication took place in the context of the application with the Federal Ministry of Finance for the competition involving the design of special postage stamps in 2019. In addition to various graphic works from the years 2011–19, the book presents abstract postage stamp designs on a 10-stamp sheet. The motifs of the postage stamps (a total of 29 different postage stamp sheets) resulted from excerpts or details of graphic works.

Due to the small edition of this “artist book”, perforation of the postage stamp sheets could not be carried out mechanically. Perforation was carried out individually and by hand with a Japanese blow-out hole screw punch. This means that a total of 16.791 holes with a diameter of 1 mm was punched for each book over a period of 4 weeks.
